Overlap is a fun quarterly show & tell night for animators and animation lovers to show work, share ideas and hang out.

We'll be at Nortons Digbeth with special guest Nina Gantz, animators show&telling their films, and as ever, Louis Hudson bringing costumed chaos as host.

Nina Gantz is a BAFTA and Sundance winning stop motion director, who is also rep’d by Blinkink. Her tactile films are able to embody heavy subjects with the lightness of charm, empathy and humour. 

Her latest short WANDER TO WONDER follows three 1980s children’s TV characters as they fend for themselves in the aftermath of their creator dying.

Nina will be showing us the inspiring 8 year perseverance it took to get Wander To Wander made. It’s since won at SXSW and BIFA, and is now nominated for a BAFTA and an OSCAR!

On a side note, Nina’s NFTS grad film, EDMOND, is possibly my favorite animated short film.
