Overlap is a fun quarterly show & tell night for animators and animation lovers to show work, share ideas and hang out.

We'll be at Nortons Digbeth with special guests Alice Bloomfield, Jack Zhang, AND Chris Tichborne. Animators will be show&telling their films, and as ever, Louis Hudson will bring costumed chaos as host.

Alice Bloomfield and Jack Zhang are 2D animation directors. Respectively rep-d by Black Dog Films and Strange Beast.

Also an illustrator, Alice’s self-described style is as opulent, perturbing and sleazy. Jack’s, a sensual dreamlike anime-inspired aesthetic. Combined they have worked with some of the biggest names in fashion and music. Their clients include: Rihanna, MTV, Emmys, Ninja Tune, and Netflix.

Alice’s short, Larval, hit the festival circuit last year, picking up a crop of awards including Best Short at Raindance.

BAFTA, Emmy and Annie winning director Chris Tichborne will ALSO be joining us. He was animation supervisor at Beetlejuice Beetlejuice and Wednesday. He's also co-directed multiple award winning TV shows, including: Netflix’s The House, Clangers, The Sound Collector and the viral sensation, The Tiny Chef Show!
