February 2024 'Sass'

We had THREE main guests and a rich mix of incredible films. We had powerfully restrained films reflecting on the atrocities in Palestine, a view of what happens when a DoP becomes obsessed with Blender, a giant mechanical sassy finger, and a snake with an ass.

It was a sort of homecoming for Michael Morgan, a senior character and creature animator currently working at Disney. Michael has been in the VFX for over 20 years. Starting on Clone Wars, he's since worked on the likes Black Panther, Guardians Of The Galaxy: Vol 2, Venom and Spider-Man: No Way Home!

We'll also got to see BAFTA-nominated Visible Mending with the films producer, Tilley Bancroft, two days before the awards took place. The film was directed by Samantha Moore, and animated at Second Home Studios.

If that wasn't enough we were joined by Sheetal Thankey. Sheetal is a Animation Director, Illustrator and 2D Animator from Brum, based in London. We talking about working on everything from 'Hey Duggee' and 'Gumball' to commercials, and stepping out as a director.
